About Ania
I was born in Portugal and have lived in Scotland for almost 5 years. I am a super enthusiastic mental health student nurse. My main areas of interest are mental health and social justice. I put the B and the + in LGBTQ+. I am a feminist.
About silver lining
This blog will register my adventures and my reflections as I navigate the challenges of being a queer, foreign student nurse trying very hard to adult in these very trying times. In all honesty, though, I just want to leave something fun for the aliens to rejoice over when humanity is wiped out 😋

Okay sounds cool, Ania, but why write a blog? Who cares?
Well, in all honesty, this is more like a writing exercise for me and a way to commit myself to read more and to improve my written communication skills. We learn better when we have to use and explain information that was given to us, rather than always just sit down and listen to it.
Who should care? Well, society would be much happier if only we learnt more about how our mental health impacts every single thing about ourselves and ultimately how we relate to others. So everyone should care. Also, any student nurses out there, I'm looking at you
